Illustrative render: cement-treated gravel truck yard at a cement plant, with painted bays

What we supply

  • S1 cement-treated gravel for yards, marshalling areas and plant roads: vehicles up to 49 t gross, with axle loads taken from your axle survey or VDF; no saw-cut joints, no steel; trucks at 7 days once the cubes reach 2 MPa; repairs cell by cell; built bay by bay in shutdown windows.
  • S4 honeycomb-finish concrete on request, where your standard insists on concrete: the visible-hexagon road on 17 sites since 2019, built by contractor teams we train, filled flush to the cell tops; never the grid under a slab.
  • One method statement, hold points signed.

Why it is used

  • Concrete cracks at the joints; asphalt ruts under standing trucks. An S1 yard has no saw-cut joints, and cell confinement reduces rutting.
  • Repairs cell by cell: lift, refill, compact; no slab replacement, no shutdown.
  • Dust-free grey finish that reads as concrete and takes bay markings.
  • Lower cost on day one: recorded GridMats surfaces run ₹125–230 per sq ft (₹1,350–2,474 per m²) against ₹269–297 per sq ft (₹2,900–3,200 per m²) for an IRC:58 concrete road.
