Temporary roads and surfaces that go down in a day and lift for the next site
Top-covered GridMats mats, 1000 × 500 × 50 mm and about 6.5 kg each, lock together into a closed, flat surface laid straight on levelled ground, over a geotextile where the ground is soft. No infill, no curing and no concrete: the crew lays them, the traffic uses them, and they are lifted and reused on the next site. Two grades: TC Heavy Duty, in black, yellow or red, for site roads, crane access and laydown; TC Light Weight, in black, for events, footfall and light vehicles.

Why it wins
- Laid and lifted in a day. No excavation, no base course and no concrete pad to break out afterwards.
- Reusable. The same mats move from job to job, so their cost is spread over many deployments.

Method
Level and compact the ground, lay a geotextile where it is soft, then lock the mats edge to edge, working out from the access point. Mark lanes and pads with the mat colours. When the job ends, lift the mats in reverse order, clean them and stack them for the next site.
Choose S6 when
- Temporary access, crane pads, laydown and events
- The surface must be lifted and reused on the next site
- No permanent construction is allowed
Not ideal when
- A permanent road or yard: choose S1 or S2
- Soft ground that has not been levelled and compacted
